This cute collar features artwork by Detroit muralist, Louise Jones (Ouizi). The Daisy Chain design is inspired by a beaded necklace popular in the 90's that is made with a "daisy chain stitch". The term daisy chain can also refer to a wreath or crown made of actual daisies, both ideas serve as strong symbols of youth and femininity for Ouizi. This same Daisy Chain design was part of the Detroit City Walls Mural Project on the I-75 freeway.

One Blessed Acre began when my family returned to my home town in Northern California after my husband retired from the Air Force so that we could be closer to my parents. I love all things country. Our family wanted a quieter pace of life, raising our children to love animals and self-sufficiency. One of the first animals added to our farm was chickens. Once we had adequate housing, we added Nubian dairy goats, with the intent of drinking the milk. They were bred and then we were in milk - a whole lot of milk! Out of that milking came lots of excess milk for soaps and lotions. Once I began looking at the labels on beauty products I quickly realized the need to have more natural products for my family to use. I found a love for being able to create different scented soaps and lotions. Our goal is to educate our community on the benefits that goat milk has for our skin.

Detroit Dog Leash Company (DDLC) is a small Detroit business that offers very high quality and extremely durable handmade dog leashes that will last a lifetime with the proper care. Here at DDLC, we are all avid dog lovers. We live and work in the City of Detroit, and have a strong commitment to our community. Our commitment to Detroit and the welfare and humane treatment of its animals is an integral part of our core values, and is woven into our mission as a business. For every leash sold, we will donate another leash to Detroit area dog shelters and newly adopted dogs. We are working with the Michigan Humane Society (MHS), Detroit Dog Rescue (DDR), Paws in the D and another deserving non-profit entities that promote sustainable and humane rescue operations in the City of Detroit.
