Stacey Malasky is an artist, illustrator, and screen printer living and working out of Detroit. She is a founding co-owner of Ocelot Print Shop, a community screen printing shop in the Cass Corridor. All of Stacey's screen prints are made from her original drawings. Each one is a little unique, because they are all hand pulled. She is endlessly inspired by the natural world, especially her backyard eco-system. She uses eco-friendly, water based inks for paper and textile printing. All of her prints are printed on French Paper, a Michigan based family owned paper mill that creates lovely papers. Stacey's tea towels are printed on 100% cotton towels that are also produced in Michigan, by a small family owned business.

This woven Fingertip Towel is 100% handwoven cotton, measuring 10x22 inches. Perfect as an accent in your kitchen or bathroom and they make great housewarming presents. They can also be used like a small runner or as a trivet in a lovely tablescape. Each towel has been pre-washed and dried to prevent shrinkage or color bleeding. Towels perform best when washed in cold water and partially air dried.

Ten years later and Claudia's brand has grown into an expansive line of tea towels, tote bags, and other accessories for the home using the finest source materials including canvas and flour sack cotton. The original values of expert attention to detail, ecological awareness, and premium U.S. made materials are evident in her products. 100% flour sack cotton and canvas totes are cut and sewn in the US and then each towel and tote is individually screen printed by a small family firm. Launching her product line from a small weekend booth at her local Brooklyn Fleamarket, Claudia's products are now stocked in stores across the US and shipped worldwide as they make fantastic gifts and home accessories. In 2012, illustrator Louise Lockhart was working in a beautiful stationery shop in Vancouver which inspired her to start her own line of illustrated products. The Printed Peanut is still a one-woman operation, but is now based in sunny Yorkshire, UK. Isatopia is a creative studio offering lively illustrated products that bring a little magic into the everyday! It was created by Isabelle Gelot, a French-born designer based in Maine, USA. Before crossing the Atlantic, Isabelle spent a decade as a nomadic designer working with agencies in different parts of the world. As she traveled, she created Isatopia to share the sketches, patterns, and illustrated stories that came to her on the road. Isatopia became a shop featuring fun illustrated products designed by Isabelle out of her home studio on the rocky coast of Maine. Each creation is lovingly created to brighten up a home! Introducing my new collection entitled Ebb + Flow which was inspired by sweet moments in my life. 2 1/2 years ago, I went on my first ever 4-day silent meditation retreat. On a beautiful Fall day, I took myself into the woods to sit and paint. As I sat in silence with the window gently blowing the leaves from their branches, I had a memory of my younger son, the previous year building a cairn (stack of rocks) in the middle of a fast-flowing river in upstate New York. His determination and focus were unwavering despite the water flowing rapidly around him. I re-imagined this cairn and sat in silence painting stack after stack. These ebbs and flows in life have been a constant reminder to me to accept the rhythmical patterns, the comings & goings, the decline & regrowth. During the recent quarantine, I returned to these paintings as a form of meditation and so this collection was born.

Hand carved, faceted wood napkin rings are available in a variety of woods and add equal parts elegance and drama to any table setting. Each Napkin Ring is unique in overall shape and arrangement of the facets, but all have the same inner ring dimension. They are sanded to a very fine, smooth finish and oiled with food safe Danish wood oil, and a hand cut, polished copper plate is applied to one facet. The thick Cherry wood has a medium pinkish tone with deep purple streaks and a wavy grain.

Making beautiful handwoven textiles helps her to tap into inner stillness and creativity; and she teaches other women to do the same - to slow down, engage the rhythms of the body, and access a state of wholeness and flow. Kate has been teaching yoga and meditation for more than thirty years, and this is evident in her artistic practice. Kate’s experience of weaving is one of presence, awareness, and ritual. Her designs reflect inner stillness and deep communion with the colors, textures, and patterns of the natural world.
