BRITISH MADE IN A RAINBOW OF COLOUR - Ark Colour Design was founded in 2015 by Jane Richards and Amy Lindsay. As buyers for our own shop in Cambridge, we have over a decades worth of experience in the gift trade. All our products are made by a small family run manufacturer in Scotland. The leather is processed in their on-site tannery and then cut and foil embossed to our designs. Welcome to our journey! I’m thrilled to share with you the captivating tale of how WAFE, our passion project, was born. Let me take you on an inspiring journey that started with a burning desire to make a positive impact on the world. Harvey and I, Tobi, have been inseparable since we met over a decade ago at The University of Loughborough. Our friendship has blossomed over time, and it's been an incredible ride. We may have our differences, but we share a deep passion for making the world a better place. In 2018, we decided to take our friendship to the next level and co-founded WAFE (formerly known as Biovita). We asked ourselves a fundamental question: how can we serve our planet, humanity, and all living beings that call Earth home better? It wasn't an easy task, but we were determined to find the answer. Good Juju Body & Home is a women-led, BIPOC, Canadian brand that makes premium zero-waste beauty and home care products. Co-founders Alexa and Lisa started Good Juju after spending our careers in the natural health industry, and everything we make is informed by our motto, Zero Waste with Zero Compromise. We were named one of Fast Company “Brands that Matter” for 2022 and we are a 1% for the Planet member. Good Juju’s high-performance products are formulated with the help of a Naturopathic Doctor and Researcher who has worked out of Harvard and the University of Toronto, and they contain innovative, natural, science-backed ingredients. We have a product line up of award-winning shampoo and conditioner bars that are available in four formulas to suit all hair types, laundry strips in three delectable scents, and a moisturizing no-foam shave bar with collagen-boosting ingredients. Beyond the incredible products, Good Juju consistently champions diversity and inclusion because it's a central component of creating a more just and sustainable world telling our creative story with people of different genders, body shapes, sizes, and colours. Through product formulation and diverse, representative imagery, we are making zero waste an inclusionary movement. Thumbprint Artifacts was conceived in 2012 by two life-long friends, Becky Riess and Kris Engle. These creative Michiganders wanted to recognize entrepreneurial spirit by supporting fairly traded artisan companies in areas of the world greatly affected by unemployment. This support translates into empowerment and self-sufficiency that helps the artisans care for themselves, their families, and contribute to their communities. With Kris based in South Africa and Becky based in Michigan, they created their 'cycle of success' by purchasing directly from the artisans and sharing their crafts with galleries and fine boutiques across the world. Each item sold positively impacts employment security and growth to build sustainable and profitable businesses. Most of the artisans are women, primarily single mothers, who all take great pride in their work. Considering the extended families that each artisan supports, Thumbprint Artifacts is currently touching the lives of 500+ people.

How to use: Scrape dishes to remove excess grease and food. Wet sponge, for plates, bowls and cups, and rub DISH BLOCK® soap to create rich, fluffy suds. (Repeat as needed to refresh suds.) Wash items and rinse well. Works in all water types including hard water.

Pro kitchen tip: Use the same DISH BLOCK® suds to clean your sink - this can be used on porcelain, stainless, and glass sinks.

No Tox Life was born from the desire to provide effective, vegan body and home care to help you live a cleaner, greener lifestyle.  We are a local, family-run business and each product is made using high-quality, effective ingredients.

Sandee got interested in living a non-toxic lifestyle many decades ago. As a little girl, she experienced a bad reaction to the ingredients in a perfume that left red welts on her skin. As a teenager, she participated in the first annual Earth Day has been excited about living a natural lifestyle ever since. In 2013, Sandee started experimenting with making soap and other bath & body products, doing hundreds of hours of testing and learning. Soapmaking and cosmetics formulation merged her passions, math, science and art. Initially she gave products as gifts for friends and family, with great feedback. After heading to her local grocery store one day and reading the "natural" shampoo ingredients, she realized that it was full of harsh, drying detergents that were causing her scalp issues. The idea of No Tox Life was born - helping people switch to a truly non-toxic lifestyle.

In addition to being a certified woman-owned small business, No Tox Life is also a family business.  

Sandee’s daughter Callie Milford is the co-founder and creative director of No Tox Life. She designs & formulates new products (along with Sandee), and directs the look of the brand, as well as managing sales to the hundreds of independent grocery stores, zero waste stores and lifestyle stores carrying the line.

Katie Dean is an artist and printmaker from Tacoma, WA who loves vibrant color combinations and natural themes as the primary foundation of her imagery. Her original hand printed editions are produced on a letterpress using oil based ink, hand carved linoleum blocks and cotton paper. Her greeting cards come directly from these originals as small art greeting card reproductions. Katie's primary mission is to enhance people’s lives through the beauty that inspires her to create.

Kate Kilmurray practices the art of hand-weaving as a form of embodied meditation. Making beautiful handwoven textiles helps her to tap into inner stillness and creativity; and she teaches other women to do the same - to slow down, engage the rhythms of the body, and access a state of wholeness and flow. Kate has been teaching yoga and meditation for more than thirty years, and this is evident in her artistic practice. Kate’s experience of weaving is one of presence, awareness, and ritual. Her designs reflect inner stillness and deep communion with the colors, textures, and patterns of the natural world. By incorporating weavings in our homes, we bring more depth, beauty, and meaning to our daily lives.

Jodi Lynn Burton is an artist and illustrator, born and raised in Michigan. She finds much of her inspiration from exploring the outdoors and learning about science. Jodi feels compelled to share her illustrations to help creativity live on in minds of adults and children alike. Her love for learning and sharing has also poured over into a passion project she calls Detroit Craft Academy. DCA is a podcast dedicated to interviewing makers, creators, and DIY small business owners about what they do. During the show Jodi encourages makers to share their struggles and talk about what it is really like to run a business.
