How do I get the grated content out of the inside of the plate?
We can easily remove its content in different ways, we can do it with a kitchen brush (or even a toothbrush that we use for this purpose), we can do it by gently passing our finger and dragging the content out, we can dilute the grated content with a little oil or water to help us drag the grated food, or we can turn the plate over so that the content of the grated food falls out.

In the case of dry foods such as nutmeg, Parmesan cheese, almonds, or stale bread, it is best to grate these foods with the dry plate. In the case of garlic, you can pour a little oil on the plate and thus facilitate its removal and enjoy the garlic already mixed with the oil.

Doug Johnson creates handmade ceramic work in the historic Pewabic Pottery studio in Detroit. He is busy pursuing his passion for photography, pottery, glassblowing, printmaking and other things that spark his soul.

E. Lo Ceramic Art are functional slip cast ceramic objects for everyday use with an emphasis on the process of mold making. Using modern technology to aid her process, Emily views each mold as a problem to solve, resulting in a functional ceramic object.

E.Lo Ceramic Art is design and creation of clean modern functional forms by artist Emily LoPresto. Emily has been working with clay for more than half her life, her current work is functional slip cast ceramic objects for every day use. With an emphasis on the process of mold making the work starts as lines and shapes in 3D modeling software. Emily uses modern technology as an aid in creating prototypes that are used to make plaster molds. Using colored porcelain each piece is cast in a mold and finished by hand. The functionally of the work is what drives the design and the idea of use is what drives the maker.
