Sustainable Fashion Workshop: Reverse Appliqué Embroidery

Saturday June 14th from 10am to 1pm

Entry Level Class—No experience necessary

Age 14+ (minors must accompany an adult)

Join us for a 3-hour stitching bonanza where we'll navigate the labyrinth of various embroidery stitches while mixing a wide array of fabrics.

Forget about those logos, stains, or anything that you want to remove from a garment! We'll replace that pesky bit with a peek of another fabric, surrounded by expertly crafted stitches. Bring any garments that you'd like to give a glow up! Bring scraps of fabrics that you have on hand or raid our stash. No need to bring anything with though - everyone in the class may opt to simply create patches and practice pieces with our fabrics. 

By the end of this hands on workshop, you'll leave with the skills to continue your thread-based art journey along with some handy supplies.

 

About the Instructor:

Angela Zachary, a third-generation textile hand-crafter with over two decades of teaching experience, finds pure joy in crafting and fostering community. Her passion for creating is fostered out of a love for sustainability, and learning to slow down.
